About this project

SocietyDesk is a society complaint system PHP project built with PHP 8, MySQL and Bootstrap 5 for a housing society. Residents raise complaints about plumbing, electrical, lift, housekeeping, security, water, parking and more with a photo, and follow every complaint until it is fixed. The society office assigns the right maintenance staff member, posts notices and collects monthly maintenance online with printable receipts.

How it works

  • Resident registers with wing and flat; the society office approves the account
  • Resident raises a complaint with category, place, priority and photo - it gets a ticket number (CMP-xxxx) and a due time from the category's fix-time promise (SLA)
  • Admin assigns a staff member (matching skill shown first with open task count) and sets the priority
  • Staff marks the task In Progress, adds remarks and marks it Resolved with an after-work photo
  • Resident sees a 5-step timeline with before / after photos, rates the work to close it or reopens it within 7 days
  • Every month the office generates maintenance bills; residents pay online (Razorpay test mode / demo) or cash at the office and get a receipt
