Finding a reliable plumber or electrician for a small repair is still hard in most cities. The Smart Home Services Booking System Android project (app name HandyHub) solves this with one app for customers and service workers and a web admin panel. Customers see the price before booking, get matched with a nearby verified worker, follow the job live and receive a proper invoice. Workers get nearby jobs and see their earnings.
How it works
- The customer describes the problem in English or Hinglish (with an optional photo) and the Gemini AI assistant suggests the service, urgency and cost range. Offline rules are used when there is no internet.
- The customer picks a service, date, time slot and address.
- A smart matching algorithm ranks online, KYC-verified workers by distance, rating, acceptance rate, skill test and experience.
- The chosen worker gets a job request with a 120-second timer; if he declines it moves to the next best worker automatically.
- The worker starts the job only after entering the customer's 4-digit OTP, adds parts used and completes the job.
- The customer follows every stage on a live status bar, pays, downloads a PDF invoice and rates the worker.

Frequently asked questions
Does the app work without a Gemini API key? Yes. Without a key the AI assistant uses built-in offline rules, so every screen still works.
Can I run it on a real phone? Yes. Connect the phone and laptop to the same Wi-Fi and type the laptop's IP address on the login screen.
How is the best worker chosen? By a score from distance, rating, acceptance rate, skill test result and experience; the formula is explained in the report.
Is payment processed online? Payment is recorded as cash or UPI by the worker; an online gateway is listed as future scope.
