ExamShield – Online Exam System with Proctoring

ExamShield is an online exam system PHP project with built-in proctoring for colleges and coaching classes. The admin creates subject-wise MCQ exams with time limit, negative marking, pass percentage, warning limit and an optional fee. Students write the test in full screen with a timer controlled by the server, every answer is saved instantly, and leaving the tab or full screen is recorded as a warning.

How it works

• Admin adds subjects, creates an exam and its questions, then publishes it
• Student registers, opens the test series and unlocks paid tests (Razorpay test mode / demo payment)
• Before starting, the student reads the rules and checks full screen and camera
• The test runs in full screen; each click is saved by AJAX and the timer comes from the server
• Tab switch or full screen exit = warning; at the limit the test is submitted automatically
• Result is shown instantly with negative marking, answer review, rank and certificate
• Admin watches running tests on the Live Monitor and reads the proctor report of every attempt

Frequently asked questions

Does it need internet? No. It runs offline on XAMPP; only Razorpay test mode needs internet. Is a webcam required? No. The camera preview is optional and the test works without it.
