ScreenPass - Movie Ticket Booking System

ScreenPass is a movie ticket booking system PHP project built with PHP 8, MySQL and Bootstrap 5. Theatre owners add their screens with Recliner, Prime and Classic rows and publish shows with their own prices. Movie-goers choose a city, movie, date and show time, select exact seats on the screen layout, add snacks or a coupon and pay with Razorpay (test mode) or the offline Demo mode. Every booking gets an e-ticket with a QR code that the theatre scans at the gate.

How it works

• Customer chooses the city, opens a movie and sees show times of every theatre (green = seats free, amber = filling fast)
• Picks 1-10 seats on the real seat map; seats are held for 8 minutes inside a database transaction, so no seat can be booked twice
• Adds snack combos and a coupon on the booking summary while a countdown timer runs
• Pays with Razorpay test mode or Simulate Payment (Demo) and gets an e-ticket with QR code and a printable receipt
• Theatre partner checks in the ticket by typing the booking code or scanning the QR with a webcam
• Customer can cancel up to 4 hours before the show for a 75% refund; if the theatre cancels the show, everyone gets a full refund
• Admin approves theatres, manages movies, coupons and snacks and prints reports
