QuietDesk - Library Seat Booking System with Admin Panel

Library seat booking system PHP project built for BCA, BSc (CS / IT) and engineering students. QuietDesk shows every reading hall of a study library as a seat map. A student chooses the hall, date and shift (Morning, Afternoon, Evening or Full Day), taps a free desk and pays online. The librarian checks the student in with the booking code, and the admin manages halls, desks, shifts, prices, payments and reports.

How it works

• Visitor sees the reading halls, prices and a live seat map for any date and shift
• Student registers, chooses hall + date + shift and taps a free desk on the seat grid
• A shift overlap check makes sure no desk is booked twice (a Full Day booking blocks all other shifts)
• The desk is held for 15 minutes; payment by Razorpay test mode or Demo mode
• Student gets a printable receipt and a QR pass with the booking code
• Librarian checks the student in and out, or marks No Show, from a live hall view
• Admin sees occupancy charts, handles refunds and prints hall-wise, shift-wise and day-wise reports

Frequently asked questions

Is the payment real? No, it uses Razorpay test mode and a Demo mode, so no real money is taken. Does it need internet? No. All libraries are inside the project; internet is needed only for Razorpay test mode. Can 3 students present it? Yes. The README and the explanation document give a part to each student for 3 demos. Can I change halls and prices? Yes. The admin can add halls (desks are created automatically), block desks and change shift prices.
