FreshFold - Laundry Pickup and Delivery System

FreshFold is a laundry pickup and delivery system PHP project built with PHP 8 and MySQL for a laundry business that collects clothes from homes and delivers them back washed, ironed or dry cleaned. The customer picks a free 2-hour pickup slot for any of the next 7 days from a live slot grid. The admin assigns a pickup agent of that area, and the agent weighs and counts the clothes at the door so the bill is ready at once. Every order moves through 7 clear steps that the customer can follow online.

How it works

• The customer checks the pincode, chooses services (wash & fold, wash & iron, dry cleaning, steam ironing, shoes, blankets) and picks a slot in the 7-day grid
• Each slot has a capacity, so full and past slots are closed; the server checks the capacity again before saving the booking
• The admin assigns a pickup agent of the area and the order becomes Assigned
• The agent enters the weight (0.5 kg steps) or pieces of each item and the bill is made from the admin price list, with a pickup & delivery charge below the free limit
• The laundry unit moves the order to In Process and then Ready; the agent starts the delivery
• The customer pays online with Razorpay (test mode) or a demo payment, or pays cash to the agent, who confirms the collection before marking the order Delivered
• The customer rates the order, and bills and receipts can be printed

• Customer - books pickups, tracks orders, pays bills, rates the service
• Pickup Agent - sees today's route, makes the bill at pickup, delivers and collects cash
• Admin - assigns agents, updates the laundry status, manages services, rates, slots, users, payments and reports

Frequently asked questions

Does it need internet? No. Everything runs on XAMPP, and demo payment mode works offline. Only Razorpay test mode needs internet. Is the payment real? No. Razorpay is used in test mode only, so no real money is charged. Can three students present it? Yes. The README gives a separate part to each of the three students for all three demos. Which software is needed? XAMPP with PHP 8 and any browser.
