FixMate - Home Repair Service Booking Portal

Home repair service booking PHP project - FixMate is a complete web portal where customers book home services like electrician, plumber, AC service, appliance repair, carpenter, painting, RO and pest control in a 2 hour time slot. The office assigns a technician, the technician starts the job with the customer's OTP, adds the bill and completes it, and the customer pays online and rates the work. It is built in core PHP 8 and MySQL with Bootstrap 5 and is easy to explain in viva.

How it works

• Customer picks a service, date and time slot. Each slot shows the places left ("3 left" / "Full"), so there is no overbooking.
• Admin opens the booking and sees a smart list of technicians: same skill, same area first, then availability, rating and fewer open jobs. Busy technicians cannot be assigned.
• Technician accepts the job or declines it with a reason. A declined booking goes back for re-assignment.
• At the door the technician enters the 4 digit OTP shown to the customer, and only then the job starts.
• Technician adds labour and parts and completes the job. The bill total is calculated automatically.
• Customer pays with Razorpay (test mode) or Demo mode, or the technician marks cash. A printable receipt is generated.
• Customer rates the technician from 1 to 5 stars and the average rating updates instantly.
