About this project

DailyBasket kirana store order system PHP project takes a neighbourhood grocery shop online. Customers browse products at shop prices, fill a cart and choose Home Delivery (pincode-wise charge, free above a limit) or Store Pickup in a time slot. The store owner packs orders, sends delivery bags with delivery partners and keeps pickup bags at the counter. Every order is handed over only after a secret 4-digit code matches, and the owner prints a day-close report every night.

How it works

  • Customer adds items to the cart (quantity limited to stock)
  • At checkout, chooses Home Delivery or Store Pickup, a slot for today / tomorrow and Pay Online or Cash
  • Order is saved in a database transaction: slot and stock are locked, stock is reduced and a 4-digit OTP is created
  • Customer pays with Razorpay (test mode) or Simulate Payment and gets a printable receipt
  • Admin marks the order Packed, then assigns a delivery partner or keeps it Ready for Pickup
  • Delivery partner enters the customer's OTP and ticks cash collected (for COD); the counter checks the pickup code
  • Admin prints the day-close report: sales, delivery vs pickup, cash vs online, cash per partner, top items
