About the project
Every admission season a college office answers the same questions hundreds of times: Am I eligible? What is the OBC fee? Is hostel available? Will I get Computer with 88 percentile? This AI college admission enquiry Android project automates that work. Unlike a normal college enquiry chatbot project, the AI answers only from the college's own database, predicts admission chances from last year's cutoff, and follows up every unanswered question on its own - no staff member has to sit and chat.
How it works
- Admin enters college details, courses, category-wise fees, last year cutoffs and the Gemini API key in the web panel.
- The student asks a question in English, Hindi or Marathi; Gemini AI answers only from the college data, so fees and dates are never guessed.
- If the answer is not in the data, the system books a callback for the next working day automatically and records a knowledge gap.
- Staff only add the missing information; when the student opens the app again, the AI replies automatically with a notification and the callback closes itself.
- The AI Eligibility Checker takes marks, entrance percentile and category and shows High / Medium / Low / Not eligible for every course, with the reason and personal advice.
- Works without internet AI too: FAQ keyword matching and offline eligibility advice.
