About this project

Farmers usually sell through several middlemen and rarely know the fair price of their produce on a given day. FarmCart – Farmer to Buyer Marketplace Android Project connects verified farmers directly with hotels, retailers, wholesalers and households. Every listing is compared with today's mandi (APMC) rate, so farmers price fairly and buyers can see they are paying a fair rate.

How it works

  • The farmer registers by choosing a district on a map and uploads a 7/12 extract. Admin verifies the farm.
  • The farmer adds produce with a photo. AI grades the quality (A/B/C) and the fair-price advisor suggests a price from today's mandi range.
  • The buyer browses fresh produce nearby. Each item shows a fair-price meter against the mandi rate.
  • The cart is split per farm. The buyer chooses delivery or farm pickup, a date and a time slot, and pays online (Razorpay) or cash.
  • The farmer accepts, packs and sends the order. The buyer follows a live 5-step timeline with ETA.
  • After delivery the buyer rates the order, and the farmer sees earnings, an AI weekly summary and an invoice PDF.
  • Admin enters daily mandi rates. Farmers' rate alerts fire automatically.
