About the project
Most colleges need 75% attendance, but roll call wastes 6-8 minutes and normal QR attendance is easy to cheat: one student photographs the code and sends it on WhatsApp. Dynamic QR code anti-proxy attendance Android project (AttendSure) solves this. The QR on the teacher's phone changes every 10 seconds and is signed with HMAC-SHA256, and the server accepts a scan only when the student is really in the classroom.
How it works
- Admin sets up departments, classes, subjects and teachers, and chooses the QR timer, distance and college Wi-Fi names.
- Teacher taps Start QR; the phone's GPS position becomes the centre of the class area.
- A new signed QR appears every 5, 10 or 15 seconds (server clock, so phone time does not matter).
- Student scans; the app sends the code with a fresh GPS location, fake-GPS flag, Wi-Fi name and phone ID.
- Server checks QR age, signature, linked phone, distance, fake GPS, Wi-Fi and a logistic proxy risk score.
- Student sees Present with the new percentage, or Blocked with the exact reason.
- When time is over, absent marks are added and students who fall below 75% get a warning.
Users
- Student - scan QR, subject-wise attendance, calendar, shortfall prediction, bunk planner, correction requests, streak and badges.
- Teacher - live QR with counts, manual mark, session report with risk scores, defaulter list with PDF, corrections, class analytics with AI summary.
- Admin - web panel for masters, users, phone changes, proxy alerts, records, printable reports, notices and settings.

Frequently asked questions
Can a student mark attendance from home with a photo of the QR? No. The QR expires in about 15 seconds, and the GPS radius, college Wi-Fi and linked-phone checks block scans from outside the class.
Does it need internet? No. It runs on the college Wi-Fi with XAMPP; internet is needed only for the optional Gemini AI summary.
Can I run it on the emulator? Yes. Two emulators work as teacher and student; the setup guide explains the server IP and the AndroidWifi setting.
What if a student's phone is lost or changed? The student sends a device change request from the login screen and the admin approves it from the panel.
